Looking back more than four decades ago, you would hardly recognise the firm now - the change in the landscape of the firm is tremendous.

It all began with a lawyer named Mr Mah King Hock.

Raja, Darryl & Loh started as a sole proprietorship known as Mah King Hock & Co in March 1964. Mah King Hock & Co became a partnership in the mid 1960’s, changing its name to Mah & Kok some time in 1966. With the addition of new partners, Mah & Kok became Mah-Kok & Din in 1971. With various changes in its constitution, the name Mah-Kok & Din was changed to Mah & Din in 1991.

On 1st January 1993, the firm became known as Raja, Darryl & Loh. Hence the firm evolved from a firm of two partners and a staff of four in 1967 to its current strength of eighteen partners, thirty nine associates and a staff strength of more than a hundred.

Raja, Darryl & Loh has had its share of illustrious partners. Former partner, Dato’ Kok Wee Kiat was a Member of Parliament and left the firm on his appointment as the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry of Malaysia in 1986; former partner Dato’ Nik Mohd Din bin Datuk Nik Yusoff became the Chairman of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange and former partner Ong See Seng was elevated to the bench of the High Court of Malaya in 1989.

We have had an illustrious past and we look forward to the days ahead.
